Québec Art Camp - 2026 - Québec City

The application period for Soldier On members wishing to participate in the Art Camp event in Québec from September 15th to 17th is now open. The application deadline is Friday August 21st at 12h00.

AIM AND SCOPE OF EVENT: 
Soldier On is organizing the Quebec Art Camp in collaboration with www.latelier256.com and www.terreetbiscuit.net and www.madamegermaine.com from Sept 15th to 17th 2026. On each day, participants will join friendly and experienced instructor to discover and experience a new art (ceramic, painting, cooking). Regardless of their skill level, up to 16 participants will have the opportunity to practice multiple arts as part of their recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration.

The number of Soldier On participants is limited to sixteen (16).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 
Any serving member or veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) from the Larger Québec City Region (within 90 min of car travel) who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while enrolled as a member of the CAF; whether attributable or not to service.

Selected Serving members will require the approval of their Chain of Command to participate. 

DRAFT SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Tuesday Sept 15th 10h-12h Painting Atelier 256 /
Wednesday Sept 16th 10h-12h Group 1 and 13h-15h Group 2 Ceramic Terre et Biscuit /
Thursday Sept 17th 11h-14h Cooking Madame Germaine

TRANSPORTATION & MEALS:
Participants are advised that transportation will not be provided by Soldier On for this event. Participants will be required to arrange their own travel to and from the event location. We recommend that participants bring their own water bottle and snacks.

Mental & Physical Requirements:
Applicants must be able to tolerate 3 hours of light indoor paced activities for 3 days in a row. Due to the busy activity schedule, applicants must have a limited requirement for rest throughout the day. Participants must have the ability to follow instructions. Applicants will be joined with other ill/injured members and civilians and therefore should be able to function in a social environment.
